The accuracy of the 3D model of UAV oblique photography is an important index to measure the quality of the model. Conventional three-dimensional modeling of oblique photography requires the layout of image control points, which has low efficiency and high maintenance cost. Image control modeling does not need to lay out image control points, and the aerial survey efficiency is high, but the accuracy is low. Recently, Dongyuan of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology was used as an experimental area to verify the feasibility of the 3D modeling method of oblique photography after image control.

The results show that:

(1) The accuracy of the 3D model established based on image control post-processing is basically the same as that of the conventional method, and the median error of the plane and the median error of the elevation are less than 0.05m, meeting the modeling requirements of high efficiency, high precision and low cost.

(2) Image control post-processing modeling avoids the process of making and maintaining image control points, and selects image control points and extracts coordinates based on existing high-precision three-dimensional models, which improves the scientific selection of image control points and reduces the workload of field measurement points.

(3) The method has good universality in regularly updating high-precision 3D reality models in cities, towns and other road-rich areas.
